Spoon River is a farm-to-fork style restaurant located in historic downtown Belhaven, NC. It is situated just steps away from the Pungo River, leading to the Pamlico Sound, in an area known as North Carolina's Inner Banks.

Our goal is to source as much of our menu locally and from the state of North Carolina as possible. This includes everything from seafood to herbs to vodka.

Our mission is to serve artful food and drinks in a unique environment.

We happily welcome boaters en route along the east coast, as well as those boating from local Beaufort and Hyde Counties, and other surrounding areas. Whether coming by land or by sea, we will be sure to give you an artful experience with southern hospitality!

Although reservations are not always required, we recommend reservations for any service, especially weekend dinners. If we are able to accommodate walk-ins, we certainly will (we usually can!) but occasionally we do fill to capacity and can only allow seating for reserved tables. (We also appreciate reservations for our planning, prep, and staffing.) Reservations can best be made by texting 252.945.3899 with: 1. name 2. date + time 3. number of people in the party. It may take a while for a confirmation from us on days that we are closed, but please feel free to text again if you don’t hear back by our regular hours of operation.
